2018 you threw everything at us! A year for worrying weather patterns – snow in March & April, a heatwave which started in May and continued well into the last days of Summer, causing much stress to florists and flower farmers alike. But boy the extra work we all had to put in – it paid off as I can honestly say it was the most beautiful year for me – working with the most stunning locally grown flowers – armfuls of scented garden roses, buckets upon buckets of Dahlias, Cosmos, Scabious, Zinnias and Rudbekia. Foliage and Blossom galore, wonderful grasses in the Autumn – the best flower recipes and colour palettes and ooodles of silk ribbons. Feasts for the eyes and soul – creativity and possibilities at every turn. Weddings aplenty, brand collaborations and commissions, workshops and 1-1 sessions, a few select shoots thrown in too. Phew! You could say I’m a workaholic. I did have a couple of breaks in between though- in beautiful Wales & Cornwall. I can never stop for too long as my mind is always seeking the next creative project.
I often scroll back through my iphone images and my heart bursts with pride at what we have achieved this year – thank you to everyone who has been a part of it – my Brides & Grooms, my clients, my team, my suppliers -BIG LOVE and lets hope for more of the same in 2019
